Urban Innovation — Connected Public Information Systems
Software development and integration for connected public information systems, including interactive displays, remote management and operational functionality.
CorrectTech develops software for commercial display systems, interactive screens and digital signage networks.
We integrate displays with existing business platforms, external data sources and management systems to support dynamic content, remote operation and specialist functionality.
Commercial display projects often require more than showing standard images or video.
Screens may need to display live information, respond to user interaction, receive updates from existing software or operate across multiple locations.
CorrectTech develops the software and integration components needed to support these requirements.
Connect display applications with existing business systems, databases and external services.
Present information that changes according to live data, schedules, business events or operational requirements.
Integrate display applications with supported mobile device management (MDM) and remote management environments for configuration, deployment and ongoing operation.
Develop specialist applications for touchscreens, information terminals and interactive display systems.
Support content updates, application deployment and operational management across distributed display networks.
A typical display integration has the same shape. The information is already in a system you run: a booking system, a room or resource schedule, a queue system, a production database. The screens show a fixed layout, are updated by hand, or show nothing that reflects what is actually happening.
We build the layer in between. Software reads from the source system, either at an interval or when something changes, works out what should be on screen, and sends it to the display application. The screen then changes because the data changed, not because somebody edited a playlist.
The same layer decides what happens when the source is slow or unavailable: hold the last known information, show a defined fallback, or mark it as out of date. That behaviour is agreed in advance rather than discovered on site.
Mobile device management earns its place once there are more screens than you can conveniently walk to. It gives you remote configuration, scheduled deployment of application updates, a view of whether a screen is powered on and showing what it should be, and recovery without a site visit.
For two screens in one building it is usually more overhead than it is worth. For thirty across several sites it is the difference between a system you operate and one you keep driving to. We integrate with the MDM or remote management environment you already use where there is one, and advise on it where there is not.
We are usually asked to work alongside what is already in place rather than replace it. In practice that means a content management or signage platform already licensed, media players or smart displays already deployed, an MDM or remote management environment already in use, and screens, panels or kiosks already mounted.
Where a platform exposes an API or accepts scheduled content, we integrate with it and leave it in place. Where it does not, or where the functionality needed is not something it can be configured to do, we develop the display application itself.
Software development and integration for connected public information systems, including interactive displays, remote management and operational functionality.
We work on projects involving digital signage, public information screens, interactive kiosks and operational display networks.
The software may need to work with existing content management platforms or provide functionality not available in standard signage products.
Our role is to develop and integrate the software, rather than manufacture or supply the physical screens.
Related: system integration for the business platforms a display draws its information from, and bespoke software development where the application behind the screens has to be built from scratch.
